Hui inspected anti-flood work in the seriously flooded areas of Bengbu and Anqing. He greeted soldiers, armed police, police and local residents.

Local governments at all levels must work all out to ensure the victims of the floods have sufficient food, drinking water, clothing and shelter, Hui said.

The flood situation is still severe as strong rainfalls continue to fill the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, Hui said.
