XI'AN - At least 10 people were dead or missing in landslides that struck a mountainous county of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, local authorities said Monday.

Landslides and mud-rock flows were reported in Langao County after days of continuous rain, the county's flood control office said in a press release.

Langao, with a population of 170,000, is at least 400 km from the provincial capital Xi'an and borders Chongqing Municipality.
