Yang said the delegation will launch cooperation programs with their Taiwanese counterparts in finance, agriculture, tourism, culture and education.

The delegation will inspect and learn about Taiwan's experience in environmental protection, disaster response and relief, and public service at the grassroots level, Yang said.

The delegation will also visit residential communities, villages and enterprises to communicate with local residents.

Yang noted leading officials from many provinces and municipalities have led delegations to Taiwan.

"These visits add to cross-Straits exchange and expand exchange and communication between compatriots on both sides of the Strait and bring substantial benefit to Taiwanese compatriots," he said.

Since the beginning of this year, leading officials from various municipalities and provinces, including Shanghai, Hubei, Fujian, Guizhou, Qinghai, Shandong and Sichuan, and leading officials from several ministries, including the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Agriculture, have led delegations to Taiwan to strengthen ties.
