Hu calls Chilean president, postpones visit

Chinese president Hu Jintao made telephone calls to Chilean president Michelle Bachelet and the Venezuelan president Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías conveying his decision to cancel the state-visits because of the emergency in China, where a 7.1-earthquake hit Qinghai province.
The two visits have to be put off, and will be rescheduled later.
