The country was looking forward to Expo because of China's place in the world economy, said Stoltenberg, adding that he personally will spare no effort to promote Norway at the Expo.
He said Norway's participation in Expo will further improve its relations with China and showcase the northern European country's technology and business.
This year marks the 55th anniversary of Norway's ties with China, and the two countries have cooperated in the fields such as energy, environment protection and trade, he said.
Norway has been in close talks with China on climate change and he said China's strong will to improve energy proficiency is really encouraging. He also said that China has made much effort in promoting green technology and he hoped Norway will reach an agreement with China at the Copenhagen climate change conference.
