Some college students in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi province, are making an extra buck playing "Happy Farm", a widely popular online game in the country, for other people.

A student, surnamed Zhao, said that a number of game enthusiasts would pay him to steal vegetables from other people's virtual farms.

"A lot of my college mates who are good at the game make a decent amount of money playing the game for others," he said.

Zhao said he makes some 500 yuan ($73) a month, managing some 20 virtual farms.
