Man jailed for stealing, crashing cab

A court in Xuchang, Henan province, sentenced a man to two years in jail for stealing a taxi and crashing it into a roadside tree in June.
Lu was returning from a banquet, where he had one too many to drink, when he flagged down a cab. When the taxi driver stepped out of the vehicle to buy cigarettes, Lu drove off with the car, which crashed into a tree just around the corner.
Lu told police he didn't have a driving license and only wanted to get a feel of driving a car.
