China’s social networks like Kaixin001.com and Renren.com are expected to attract 124 million users as of the year-end, accounting for one third of total netizens in China, chinanews.com reported.

The number of China’s social network service (SNS) websites has exceeded 1,000 and keeps growing. Most users are young people—52.6% of whom are in their twenties—a number far beyond the proportion of netizens in the same age group. Students and white collar workers make up the main bulk, accounting for 50.3% and 31.1%.
The report also suggests most SNS users are well educated, with 59.1% of them having junior college certificates.
