92-year-old online stocks trader grabs headlines

A 92-year-old resident of Chongqing municipality has gained a lot of media attention as he continues to trade stocks online.

According to media reports, there are very few people as old as Zhang Baolin who know how to use a computer, leave aside trade stocks online, in the country.

Zhang said he started investing in stocks in 1993. "I used to take a bus to the stock exchange every morning. But then in 2006, my daughter taught me how to trade online, and life has been so much easier since then," he said.

Zhang said he now had more than 40,000 yuan in his trading account, which he opened with 1,000 yuan.
