Woman, 60, kills snake after 30-minute struggle

A 60-year-old woman in Foshan, Guangdong province, fought a snake for more than half an hour before killing it on Sunday.

Ye, who was alone at her house, found the 1-m snake in her wardrobe and started smashing it with a wooden rod till it died.

Ye, who was bitten a couple of times in the 30-minute struggle then rushed to a hospital, where doctors confirmed the snake wasn't poisonous.
