China’s fiscal revenue amounted to 560.94 billion yuan ($82.16 billion) in September, up 33 percent compared to the same month last year, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.

This quick year-on-year increase was largely due to the low comparative base of September last year and gains in refined oil consumption tax. The economic upturn also contributed to the fiscal revenue increase.

In the first three quarters of 2009, China’s total fiscal revenue hit 5.15 trillion yuan, up 5.3 percent compared with the same time last year.
