China to impose anti-dumping tax on imported chips

BEIJING: China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced Monday it will impose an anti-dumping tax on some imported polyamide (PA)-6,6 chips from October 13.

The anti-dumping measures target polyamide-6,6 chips, a material used in the manufacture of plastics and textiles, imported from the United States, Italy, Britain and France.

The product from Taiwan is also among the mainland's anti-dumping list.

According to the ministry, the period will be five years, and the maximum tax rate is 37.5 percent.
