'Summer Davos' aims to relaunch growth

The Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2009 of the World Economic Forum, also known as the "Summer Davos", will take place in Dalian on September 10.

During the three-day agenda utill Sept. 12, the meeting will focus on "Relaunching Growth" at this crucial time for global economic recovery.

Over 1,300 participants from 86 countries including top political and business leaders, experts will meet in Dalian. They are going to discuss the course needed to bring the world economy out of the current recession and into recovery.

This is the second time for Dalian to host the "Summer Davos". And Premier Wen Jiabao will attend the opening plenary and deliver a special speech.

At this event, China will present the achievements of China in coping with the global financial crisis and safeguarding steady economic growth, as well as next plans for peaceful, harmonious and collaborative development in the world.
