Firm offers to free lake of algae, wants $7 million for it

A firm in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, posted an article online offering to control the blue algae in the Dianchi Lake, situated in the city's southwestern suburbs.

"We want to sign a contract with the Kunming municipal government and promise to rid the lake of the algae within six months using our own financial resources," the firm said in the article.

However, the firm wants to be paid 50 million yuan ($7.3 million) once the target is achieved.
