Chinese envoy in Seoul for talks on DPRK

Updated: 2009-07-12 19:28 SEOUL, South Korea: China's top nuclear envoy has arrived in South Korea as part of diplomatic efforts to revive the stalled talks on of denuclearization of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
South Korea's Foreign Ministry said Wu plans to hold talks with his South Korean counterpart and other officials on Monday. The trip comes as the US is moving to enforce U.N. sanctions against DPRK for its May 25 nuclear test. Pyongyang also recently fired seven ballistic missiles in defiance of U.N. Security Council resolutions. |
