Man locked in ATM booth wants compensation

A resident of Shanghai who was locked in an ATM booth for more than an hour last month is demanding compensation from the bank.

Late last month, the man, identified as Shen, entered an ATM booth in the city to withdraw cash, but as he tried to leave, he realized the door had locked automatically.

Police officers, firefighters, bank employees and a locksmith did everything possible to try and unlock the door, which only opened once its manufacturer arrived on the scene.

Shen stepped out of the booth furious that the air inside was stuffy and that a mosquito had bitten him.
