Farmer wants Guinness to check out his hen's egg

The owner of a hen believes his chicken that laid a large egg deserves to be in the Guinness World Records.

The egg is 6.3 cm wide and 9.2 cm long, and weighed 201 grams, three times heavier than an ordinary one.

Zhang Yinde, the owner of the hen in Suiling, Heilongjiang province, keeps the egg in his refrigerator.

"I found that the previous Guinness record was a 176-gram egg. I think mine will break the record," he said on Tuesday. "The egg looks like any other, except that its shell is a bit rough. I decided to ask Guinness for recognition.
