Expo 2010 Shanghai China Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Individual Tickets

1. Purchase Tips

The individual ticket buyers and bearers of Expo 2010 shall carefully read and comply with Terms and Conditions for Purchasing Individual Tickets (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms and Conditions”) and other regulations related to the Expo 2010 Tickets (hereinafter referred to as the “Tickets”) released by the Bureau of Shanghai World Expo Coordination (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”).

2. Ticket Types

2.1 Individual Tickets of Expo 2010 include Peak Day Tickets and Standard Day Tickets. The Peak Day Tickets allow the ticket bearers to visit the Expo Park on the Peak Day designated on the ticket or on any Standard Day; and the Standard Day Tickets only allow visits on Standard Day(s).

2.2 Expo 2010 will last for 184 days from May 1 to October 31, 2010, of which there are 17 Peak Days: May 1 - May 3, October 1- October 7 and October 25- October 31; and all the other days are Standard Days (167 days in total).

2.3 Peak Day Tickets refer to Peak Day Single Day Admission and Peak Day Special Admission; and Standard Day Tickets refer to Standard Day Single Day Admission, Standard Day Special Admission, 3 Day Admission, 7 Day Admission and Evening Admission. The application rules and the price will be separately announced by the Organizer.

2.4 Valid IDs are required upon purchase of Tickets and entry into the Expo Park for people using Peak Day Special Admission and Standard Day Special Admission; and the specific rules will be separately announced by the Organizer.

2.5 Children at or under 1.2m at time of their admission are allowed to enter the Expo Park free of charge.

3. Sales Channels

3.1 Ticket buyers shall purchase Tickets via authorized sales channels, including ticket outlets, websites or hotlines, etc.

3.2 During the running of Expo 2010, the Tickets may also be purchased via onsite sales outlets.

3.3 The Evening Admission can only be purchased via onsite sales outlets.

3.4. The specific information about authorized sales channels will be separately announced by the Organizer. The risks and liabilities arising from not purchasing Tickets via the authorized sales channels shall be assumed by the ticket buyers.

4. Ticket Purchase

Ticket buyers shall check the ticket types and payment after purchase, and may ask for the receipt with the amount equivalent to the payment.

5. Ticket Preservation

Ticket buyers and bearers shall properly keep the Tickets. The Organizer will not compensate for the loss, theft, damage or destruction of the Tickets.

6. Ticket Refunding

6.1 Unless otherwise regulated, all Tickets purchased are non-refundable.

6.2 In the event that Expo 2010 is cancelled due to reasons on the part of the Organizer, the Organizer shall refund the payment of each ticket based on the actual purchase price via the authorized sales channels.

6.3 In case the ticket bearer cannot enter the Expo Park due to ticket damage, the ticket bearer may apply for ticket exchange at the onsite sales outlets. The Organizer shall offer a new ticket after verifying the damaged ticket. Specific rules will be separately announced by the Organizer.

7. Obligations of Ticket Bearers

Ticket bearers shall carefully read the notice at the back of the Tickets and comply with other rules and regulations announced by the Organizer.

8. Miscellaneous

8.1 The Organizer will release relevant ticket information through the ticketing bulletin. People can log on the official website of Expo 2010 (www.expo2010.cn) or call the Expo hotline (+86-21-962010) for inquiry.

8.2 Unless otherwise regulated, the exhibitions and events in the Expo Park will not incur additional charge.

8.3 The Organizer is entitled to interpret and revise the Terms and Conditions, and the new Terms and Conditions shall be released timely after revision.
