Mainland reports 27 new A(H1N1) cases

BEIJING: The Chinese mainland confirmed 27 new A(H1N1) flu cases from 6 pm Sunday to 6 pm Monday, bringing the total to 441, with no reports of deaths.

Eleven new cases were confirmed in Guangdong Province. Six were confirmed in Shanghai. Two were confirmed in provinces of Jiangsu, Hebei and Liaoning each. Among them, two American tourists at their 20s were confirmed as A(H1N1) patients in Jiangsu Province Monday.

Provinces of Zhejiang, Hunan and Fujian as well as Tianjin City each reported one confirmed case, the Ministry of Health said in the latest report.

Among the patients, 227 have been discharged from hospital while the other 214 were still being treated, according to the Ministry of Health.
