The students at Harbin University went to hospital between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, and ten students remained in hospital in stable conditions. A total of 76 returned to university after intravenous injections and 15 needed no treatment at all.

Ge Wenjun, president of the university, said most of the sick students had dinner at the No. 2 canteen Thursday, but some also ate outside the campus.

The Harbin Center for Disease Control and Prevention has taken samples of the canteen food for investigation.
