China's top legislature made public Sunday a draft law on social insurance, the first of its kind in the country, and said it welcomed advice from all walks of the Chinese society.

The draft law specifies a common right for the Chinese citizens, urban and rural alike, to pay premiums and enjoy pensions. It highlights the establishment of a more efficient supervision mechanism on fund management.

The draft law was discussed on Monday by the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress, the country's top legislature, and would be submitted to the committee for further review after public opinions are taken into consideration.
