Chinese premier concludes visit to Russia

MOSCOW -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao concluded his three-day official visit to Russia on Wednesday and left for Kazakhstan to continue his two-nation tour.

During his stay here, Wen held talks with Russia Prime Minister Vladimir Putin and exchanged views with him on major issues of common concern.

At the opening ceremony of the third high-level Sino-Russian economic forum, Wen tabled proposals for further developing bilateral cooperation in energy, resources, trade, technology, finance, investment and international economic affairs.

The two sides issued a joint communique Tuesday, and signed a series of cooperation agreements in such fields as economy, trade, science and technology, energy and culture.

In Astana, capital of Kazakhstan, Wen is scheduled to attend the 7th prime ministers' meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
