JINAN -- Four people were killed and 51 others injured in an aluminium liquid spill accident on Sunday night in an aluminium wire foundry in East China's Shandong Province.

The accident took place around 8:10 pm Sunday in the foundry affiliated to the Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group Co Ltd, according to sources with the government of Zouping County where the foundry is located.

Local officials have rushed to the site for rescue operations, and the investigation in the cause of the accident is going on.
