President Hu ends Hong Kong trip

HONG KONG -- Chinese President Hu Jintao Sunday left here for Shenzhen, a southern Chinese city bordering Hong Kong, to end his visit to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) after attending the opening ceremony of the Shenzhen Bay Port, a border crossing between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Hu, also general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and chairman of the Central Military Commission, came to Hong Kong on Friday to attend the celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China and the inauguration of the third-term government of the HKSAR.
