Spanish businessmen are showing great interest in World Expo 2010 Shanghai and expressed their intention of participating in the event at a trade consultation meeting held in Madrid on Monday.

Jesus Serran, general manager of a company participated in World Expo Sevilla in 1992, said his company, concentrating on high-tech products, had many to display in the World Expo in 2010.

Serran said Spanish people have long had a special connection with World Expos and Zaragoza will host World Expo 2008. Spain will be glad to contribute to Shanghai's World Expo, too.

Elisabet Sierra, an official with VIAJES, a tourism company, asked many questions about the Expo, especially the number of foreign visitors expected in 2010, ticket selling and other tourism destinations near Shanghai.

She said her company had a large stable of clients and she would be happy to introduce the Expo to them.
