Union protests name change(China Daily)Updated: 2007-02-13 06:54
Members of Taiwan's postal union staged a sit-in yesterday, protesting at the service's change of name from "Chunghwa (China) Post Co" to "Taiwan Post Corp". According to Taiwan media union members said the name change was ideologically motivated. The name change comes with the latest round of "de-sinicizing" moves by Taiwanese authorities, who want to eliminate the word "Chinese" from company names. China Daily-Xinhua
