Three Hong Kong natives were
convicted in London of swindling six casinos out of 250,000 British pounds
($494,000) after a high-tech gambling sting.
Lam Yau-yiu, a chef, and Wong Bit-chai, a waitress, played at the casinos
with miniature cameras in their sleeves and bags, they recorded croupiers
dealing cards from different angles.
Tsang Fan-leung, sitting outside in a white van, watched in slow motion and
told Lam or Wong, who also wore hidden earpieces, what cards had been dealt.
The gang were caught red-handed one night in September 2005. Sentencing is
pending.
