A group of students at the Harbin Redian School have written a song to encourage their peers to use proper language rather than Internet shortcuts.

"Frog does not mean ugly and dinosaur is not an adjective," according to the song.

Wang Jingjing, one of the students who wrote the song, said more and more of her classmates were using incorrect language in class or in their written homework such as "GG" for brother, "JJ" for sister, "3166" for goodbye and "286" for fool.

"We made the song to tell them that we should use the correct words," said Wang.
