Rolls-Royce wins US$450m order with China Southern Airlines(AP)Updated: 2006-12-13 18:46 LONDON - Rolls-Royce PLC, the world's second-largest aircraft engine maker, said Wednesday it won a US$450 million (euro339.7 million) order to provide engines for a fleet of 50 Airbus A320 aircraft ordered by China Southern Airlines.
Rolls-Royce has delivered the V2500 engine to more than 120 customers worldwide since 1996 and the technology powers more than 1,300 aircraft. Rolls-Royce shares slipped 1.1 percent to 438 pence (US$8.59; euro6.48) on the London Stock Exchange. |
