Beijing -- Warm, humid air brought Beijing the winter's first light snow in the early hours of Saturday morning.

By 8 a.m. Saturday, three millimeters of snow had fallen in Miyun County in the northeast of the Chinese capital, with less snow in other areas, according to the Chinese Central Meteorological Station.

City roads were unaffected.

The station forecast more snow during the day in the city, and experts advised the public to keep warm and drive safely.
