Chinese President Hu Jintao will meet U.S. President George W. Bush and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe separately during the APEC summit this month, a top Chinese Foreign Ministry official said Tuesday.

Chinese Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs Cui Tiankai told a news conference that Hu would hold the meetings with Bush and Abe when all three are attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Vietnam.

"They will further exchange views on bilateral issues and major international and regional issues," Cui said of Hu's meeting with Abe.
