A woman living with her married daughter in Shenyang of Liaoning Province was found to have hidden the marriage licence from her son-in-law by placing it in a bank safe to prevent him from divorcing her daughter.

The licence was only found last week when the man wanted to show it to a local bank for a new housing loan. A year ago, the man teased his wife with divorce. On hearing this, the mother decided to hide the licence.
