Women turn to crime, burgle own homes

Two young women from Wenzhou of Zhejiang Province were detained days ago for frequently sneaking into and stealing valuable items from their own homes.

Last week, local resident Yan called police, reporting that his home was robbed and several upscale wines and jewel pieces, valued at over 40,000 yuan (US$5,000), were stolen. After investigation, police found that Yan's own daughter, with the aid of her friend Tang, was behind the robbery.

Yan's daughter and Tang, both aged 20, admitted that since the end of last year, they had repeatedly stolen valuable items from their own homes.
