College library looks like cyber bar (China Daily) Updated: 2006-09-27 08:58
A college library in Fuzhou of Fujian Province has turned into a de facto
cyber bar, attracting several hundred students playing games day and night.
For 24 hours a day the library, equipped with over 200 computers, thronged
with game-addicted students, who could play games as long as they like by paying
2 yuan (24 US cents) for an hour's stay. Other students complained that they had
to visit the library very early in the morning to find a computer available to
browse over websites and search for information.
Local commercial and industrial administrative authorities are investigating
the library.
