Lanzhou holds brand show

An exhibition on locally developed brands opened on August 22 at the Lanzhou International Exposition Center. The exhibition, with an area of 2,000 square meters, mainly showcases famous brands and time-honored enterprises in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province.

The show, which will last till August 30, is divided into three areas displaying achievements, projects and products of Lanzhou enterprises respectively. It has subsidiary shows at the Guofang Parkson Shopping Plaza, Yaou Shopping Mall, Xitaihua Shopping Mall, Xidan Shopping Mall, Bai'an Shopping Mall and the Cyber Mart.

The event is part of the 129-day-long Brand Promotion tour initiated by the Ministry of Commerce. The tour, which is expected to cover 51 cities, entered Tianshui, Gansu Province on August 19 and held a launching ceremony for the province's brand promotion activities in Lanzhou on August 22.

The Brand Promotion campaign will allocate 600 million yuan to the provinces involved to support the development of self-owned brands. Each province will be granted with at least 5 million yuan.
