Local authorities dug out 173 bombs believed to have been left behind by the Japanese troops in the 1930s in a school in Heihe in northeastern China's Heilongjiang Province.

The bombs were found at a high school in Aihui District over the weekend, officials said. In mid-July, workers dug out more than 70 bombs when enlarging a track field for the school.
