China will take three measures to help Chinese enterprises establish their own brands and compete in the global market.

Jiang Zengwei, vice minister of commerce and director of the "Brand Promotion" Team, said special funds will be arranged to support the brand-building efforts.

The other two measures include support for brand promotion overseas and publicity support.

Jiang said his minister will, in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance, arrange special funds to help Chinese companies build up their brands as renowned brands both at home and abroad.

Brand protection is an important link in the brand development strategy, and intellectual property rights protection is a precondition for brands. Therefore, he said, the Ministry of Commerce will strengthen the IPR protection and wage wars against fake products or copycats, and help create a healthy market environment for brand growth.
