Dec 5-7, 1995: Central Economic Work Conference
Between December 5 and 7, 1995, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council convened the Central Economic Work Conference in Beijing. At the meeting, Premier Zhu Rongji announced important tax reform concerning foreign trade for 1996.
