Dec 5-9, 1990: National Work Conference on Religion held in Beijing
Between Dec 5 and 9, 1990, the State Council's National Work Conference on Religion were held in Beijing. It was pointed out that the Party committees and governments at all levels needed to list religion problems into their agenda. It was decided to carry out a policy on freedom of religious belief, keep the policy stability and the continuity, harmonize the respective square strength and do a good job with religious work.
