Jan 17, 1933: Three conditions for the Red Army to fight Japanese
On Jan 17, 1933 the CPC's Comintern delegation, in accordance with the spirit of 12th plenary session of the Comintern executive committee and suggestions of delegation's discussion, published a declaration in the name of Mao Zedong, Xiang Ying, Zhang Guotao and Zhu De, proposing firstly the agreement of the Red Army's preparation for fighting against Japanese with any armed forces jointly under three conditions. These three conditions are: (a) immediately stop attacking the Soviet zone; (b) immediately ensure the democratic rights of the people (of assembly, association, expression, strike, freedom of publication, etc.); (c) immediately arm the people to create the armed volunteer in order to defend the independence of China and for China's unity and territorial integrity.
