Selena Gomez loves being single.

The 'Come & Get It' hitmaker, who split from Justin Bieber at the beginning of this year after two turbulent years together, likes being more independent while on her 'Stars Dance' tour, and having more free time to spend with her family and friends.

The 21-year-old star told Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show on Tuesday (05.11.13): "It's been good for me to actually do it all on my own this time. It's been great for me to just go without my parents and being single and being me, it's been great. I'm really enjoying."

The brunette beauty also confessed she is old-fashioned when it comes to dating.

The 'Spring Breakers' actress said: "I think it works different for female artists or at least it does for me because I actually don't do any of that... Don't get me wrong, if a guy has the courage to ask me out, maybe I would. But I'm old fashioned. I like when the guy comes to me."

Selena previously revealed her very public split from Justin left her feeling very "stressed out," and she even considered isolating herself to get away from the worldwide interest in the break-up.

The singer - who also previously dated singer Nick Jonas - also claimed she struggled to keep her high profile relationships private because of her young age and naivety.

She said: "I had my first 'boyfriend' [Nick], which wasn't really a boyfriend, at 14, 15. You're young and you don't know how to be. You don't think, 'Now I have a boyfriend - let's keep it super-private and low key', because that's not what you're thinking about. You're thinking about, 'Oh my God, we're holding hands!' You're just thinking about stuff like that."
