Kim Kardashian at best after wedding

Kim Kardashian felt she was at the "best time of her life" after she married Kris Humphries.

The socialite - who announced at the end of last month that she was filing for divorce after just 72 days of marriage -found life with her estranged spouse "easy" because they had so much trust with one another.

In an interview conducted before she announced her marriage split, Kim told America's Marie Claire magazine: "I feel like where we're at right now is the best time in my life.

"We have a lot of trust, and I don't think either of us would do anything to break that. It makes life so easy. He's such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it's such a reality check ... He gets it. Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but he allows me to work and do what I've gotta do."

The brunette beauty tied the knot just six months after she and Kris started dating and she admits they couldn't see any point in waiting to get married.

She said: "We felt like, 'Why wait?' It's fun to have a partner who understand your life and lets you be you."

In 2000, Kim married Damon Thomas and while the union lasted just four years, she says she learned a lot from it.

She said: "I didn't know myself. As unhappy as I was, and as happy as I am now not to be in that relationship, I learned so much from it: who I wanted to be, who I never wanted to be - you take all those issues and move on."
