Lindsay Lohan has split from Samantha Ronson - again.

The 'Mean Girls' actress - who reunited with her DJ lover earlier this month after a high-profile break-up - was reportedly dumped by text message after the pair had a blazing row about Sam's friend Nicole Richie on Monday night (15.06.09).

A source told website E! Online: "Nicole refuses even to be in the same room as Lindsay and Lindsay was furious when Sam was invited to a party Nicole held for a mutual friend and she wasn't.

"Sam went to the party and it really upset Lindsay."

At the bash, Sam enjoyed a meal with pregnant Nicole and reportedly sent a message to Lindsay telling her their relationship was over and to stop contacting her.

Earlier this month, Lindsay was spotted wearing an engagement ring, sparking rumours the pair had committed to one another.

At the time, friends of the couple - who have dated on and off for two years - revealed Lindsay's was trying hard to keep Sam - the sister of super-producer Mark Ronson - happy.

One pal said: "They haven't started fighting yet, but they are back together as far as Lindsay is concerned. Lindsay has been doing so much better and has been giving Samantha her space. She is really dedicated to making it work."
