Britney Spears:Who is responsible if tragedy strikes?
Days after Britney Spears unexpectedly left the UCLA Medical Center, Britney's co-conservator father told reporters he and her mother, Lynn Spears, were disappointed in their daughter's hospital release.
Now, MSNBC's Dan Abrams says, that in today's litigious society, anyone could be blamed if tragedy struck Britney — including her parents, friends or even the hospital.
"If anything happens to Britney Spears, there's going to be a lot of finger pointing," Abrams tells Access. "There's no question if she did something to herself, if she hurt herself in some way, that somebody would say the hospital should be responsible."
Dan Abrams is not the only one speaking out. Britney's friends from a more innocent time are showing concern for the troubled pop star.
"She needs to get away, get out of here. I don't know if she thrives on that attention, I don't know," former 'NSYNC'er Joey Fatone told Access. "You look back and you're like, 'Okay, what's going on? What happened to you? And how do we correct it?'"
Regardless of her recent problems, Britney's friends are pulling for her.
"Everybody loves a good underdog story, and right now at this point, I'm pulling for the underdog," JC Chasez added.
