Mel B to face Murphy in court

Spice Girl Melanie Brown is preparing for a court showdown with former lover Eddie Murphy over payments for their daughter.

The singer, 32, will discover how much the actor will give her in payments for their six-month-old daughter Angel Iris at a hearing in Los Angeles on Nov. 14--the day before the Spice Girls embark on their world tour.

A source tells British newspaper the Daily Mirror, "Eddie refuses to see Angel, so this is important to her."

Murphy publicly ended his relationship with Brown on Dutch television last year when Brown was five months pregnant. He subsequently denied being the father of Angel Iris until his paternity was proved by a DNA test.
