Scarlett Johansson can't wait to adopt a child
'The Nanny Diaries' star can't wait to settle down and start a family and is planning to open her home to an underprivileged child.
Scarlett told USA Today newspaper: "I would love to have kids. I haven't really figured it out yet. I can see having a kid or two. And I would like to adopt children. I think I'm tender with children. "
The blonde star also revealed she is set to travel to Iraq to visit US servicemen later this year. She said: "I get letters from soldiers my age and younger. I wanted to go to Iraq in October, but it may be a little later."
Scarlett Johansson, who has been compared to Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe by director Woody Allen, often feels she was born in the wrong decade. The 22-year-old actress explained: "Maybe Woody is just blinded by my shock of platinum hair, or maybe it's my body type. Honestly, I've never really understood the comparison. I absolutely love Marilyn Monroe, but I don't see it. "A lot of times I feel like I was born in the wrong era. It was a very glamorous time from the 30s to the 60s, a really exciting time to be alive. You had Elizabeth Taylor, Dylan Thomas, artists, Lee Strasberg, studio heads - creative people. They worked in a different way then. Actors really homed in on their craft, bonding and living an artist's life. I wish I could have experienced that."
