The newest addition to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's family, three year old Pax Thien finally has the same surname as his other three siblings, and is now a ‘Jolie-Pitt’ like them.
Jolie's attorney made the formal motion to change the youngster's surname in a Santa Monica court on May 31, and since there were no objection raised, the judge was only too happy to do the needful.
His name will now officially be Pax Thien Jolie-Pitt, reports Us Weekly.
Angelina had in the beginning of May started the procedure to change Pax's surname.
According to US law, Jolie had to publish information about Pax's name change in any publication for four consecutive weeks.
This is done so that anyone wishing to legitimately contest the name change has the proper information to do so.
Last month TMZ revealed that the Mr and Mrs Smith star had chosen the Daily Commerce, a small legal journal with a circulation of about 800, to do the needful.
The latest step means that the three-year old will officially be able to call himself a 'Jolie-Pitt' like his three other siblings -- Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh.
However, the actress' attorney did not reveal whether papa Pitt had begun formal proceedings to adopt Pax, like he did with Maddox, 5, and Zahara, 2.
The couple's youngest, and only biological child till now, Shiloh meanwhile celebrated turning one on May 27 this year.
