Lily Allen:Kate Moss saved me from a beating

Lily Allen says she only has praise for Kate Moss, right, who is in New York for the American launch of her range

She added: "I was only young and the girls that were bullying me were a lot older.

"Kate Moss told them to stop being mean so I've got nothing bad to say about her - she's only been lovely to me."

And the LDN singer also said that her dad - famed actor and presenter Keith Allen - turned up to the wrong shop when she launched her new clothing line in London.

Lily said: "He went to the New Look that got burnt down, and when he got there he thought it was a publicity stunt.

"He thought it looked amazing because they'd burnt it all out!

"So I had to phone him and tell him he was at the wrong place" she giggled.

The reception to the launch of Allen's New Look range was less than impressive with les than ten shoppers making the effort to attended the opening.

It paled in comparison to Moss' debut, which attracted thousands of keen customers.
