Richie 'prepared to accept responsibility' for drug arrest
Nicole Richie has vowed to accept responsibility for her arrest for driving under the influence on Monday and deal with any other issues related to the incident.
The Simple Life star was released from custody after posting $15,000 bail and is waiting to learn the results of a blood test.
Richie's attorney Howard Weitzman says, "This is a difficult time for Nicole but she is prepared to accept whatever responsibility is appropriate.
"She intends to continue with her career and will deal with any other issues that need to be addressed."
New surveillance camera footage has been released showing Richie talking with officers and failing field sobriety tests before being placed under arrest.
The 25-year-old socialite admitted to officers at the time that she had smoked marijuana earlier in the evening and had also consumed the prescription painkiller Vicodin.
The District Attorney's office has not filed charges at this time, but Richie's arraignment has been scheduled for Feb. 7.
She is not required to be present in court and an attorney can appear on her behalf.
