Cruise to tie knot this summer with fiancee Holmes

Tom Cruise told Germany's leading tabloid , "Wetten Dass …" in its Monday edition that he wanted to tie the knot this summer with fiancee Katie Holmes, after the birth of their baby and the upcoming release of his new film, "Mission Impossible III."

"First the baby, then the film," he was quoted as saying. "Then, in summer, we want to get married. I won't let this woman get away."

Cruise is both starring in and co-producing the third installment in the "Mission Impossible" series, filmed in China and Italy. The film is due to be released on May 5, 2006.

Speaking on the program Wetten, dass ..? (loosely translated: "Wanna Bet?"), Cruise said he arrived directly from the airport but worried he would have to head right back again "because Katie could be having our baby at any minute."

In fact, he said that two pilots were at the ready to fly him home should Holmes go into labor. "If Katie calls, I'm gone."

He also assured his interviewer that Katie was feeling good reports People Magazine.

"If Katie calls, I'm gone," Cruise said, insisting that he wanted to be present at the birth of their first child.

She didn't call. He also said they've picked out a name for the baby, but he didn't reveal what it is.

Tom and Katie spent $20,000 in LA's posh Petit Tresor boutique, and their haul included: nursery rhyme wallpaper, a nappy bag, a stuffed elephant and a teddy, as well as lots of designer baby clothes.
